No Video Image

When I turn on the power of my unit the homescreen, ie-the screen where I would choose Netflix, Pandora, etc does not appear.When I turn on my blueray /dvd player and place a DVD in the unit I can't see the image but I hear the sound of my DVD. What happened?? It was working fine all along.
