Why My Remote Control Doesn't Work?
I was recently given a Toshiba TV 26AV500U and It didn't have a remote control. I ordered a new one and it does not work? Is this a common problem? And how difficult is this to fix?

this is not a normal issue. It's probably either the remote isn't working or it's the wrong remote: http://www.encompassparts.com/item/7121357/Toshiba/75005729/Remote_Control
To test the remote just point it at the camera on you cell phone while pressing the buttons. If it's working you will see the remote light up on the view finder.
