Rear Window Defogger Inoperable.
Dash light for rear window defogger lights up, however the defogger is in not defogging the rear window.

Hi! Please check the wires leading to the embedded warming cords in the rear windshield. There is probably an unconnected or cut wire which is causing this problem.
If that does not work, the next step is to see if power is going to the grid. The power wire to the grid is behind the passengerside plastic panel next to the rear window (where the shoulder harness connects to the car). You have to unbolt the shoulder harness (14mm bolt). Using a circuit tester, turn on the defroster and connect one side of the tester to the grid where it connects to the wire, and the other side to a ground. If you have power to this point, take loose the panel on the other side and you will see where the ground wire connects to the grid. take loose the wire and connect one side to the grid connection and the other side to a ground. If power is getting to this point, your ground wire on that side is probably bad.
That should be able to find where your electrical problem is.
