Zte Merit From Staright Talk Will Not Let Me Download Multimedia/picture Message

I have a zte merit from straight talk and recieved two multimedia/picture messages. when i pushed download it says "message not downloaded, retrying" I have the unlimited plan and connect to internet and all that. I tried to turn off the wifi and auto data connect. any suggestions?
