Sony Cyber-shot Dsc-hx50 Error Message Ii

Question posted by retienne50 on November 15th, 2014 12:03 PM Sony Cyber-shot Dsc-hx50 Error Message When I start my SONY Cyber-shot DSC-HX50, I read the message: "Memory card locked, check the tab." Then "Memory card locked. Cannot update Image Database File". The Memory card is NOT locked at all. It is a SD HC 8 GB. When I insert my card in another camera I do NOT have the problem. When I insert another card (SD HC 4 GB) in my camera, I have the same messages! What can I do? Thank you very much in advance! I hope this is helpful to you! Answer by retienne50: Thanks for your answer! I had already visited this website! It is not helpful... The only advice that will match my question is to unlock the tab of my memory card and this is NOT the solution... REPLY FROM RETIENNE50: Thanks for your reply! I formatted my card several times on my PC with “SDFormatter” using the options “Full (Erase)” and also “Full (Overwrite)”. It did NOT solve the issue! Download and run the app called "App Cache Cleaner" from the Play Store> restart you phone and then retry. The one called "App2SD" may also be of some help. It may sadly be necessary for you to uninstall other apps you do not use much before you can finally have a go. REPLY FROM RETIENNE50: Thanks for your reply! But it is a digital camera not a phone…

There is a little switch' bottom right of your camera' remove the sd card and move the switch to the other side.

Hope that is helpful.
