Display Is Dead...

I installed a MEX BT2800 in my vehicle and the display panel is blank.  I know there's power to the unit as I can hear the CD player cycle on when the power is plugged in and the ignition key is turned to ACC.  I did all of the trouble shooting checks as per the installation manual but still nothing....
