The picture on my TV had little red lines in it from time to time, now it has gotten blue.  I think I need a new bulb.  What kind does it take?

This is not a lamp issue, a new lamp will only make the picture issue brighter. It is likely a optical engine problem, you should take pictures and attach the to your question, and check all inputs to ensure that it's not  and external problem.
