Kdl-46hx820 Compared To Kdl-46hx850 And Xbr-46hx929
To whom it may concern,
I will be upgrading my Sony Bravia KDL-40V4100 to a newer model. Right now I can get the KDL-46HX820 Brand New In Sealed Package for only $1,130.00. However I was comparing the HX820 Model with the HX850 Model. Basically I thought it was the HX850 Model. I`m REALLY interested in the Sony XBR-46HX929 Model. I can get this Model Used-Like New for $1,799.99-$2,000.00. Open Box-New $2,100.00. Brand New Sealed $2,300.00.
Now of course I want the BEST deal possible. I`m looking to get a Great Sony HDTV for the lowest price possible. I do know that the HX850 has the MotionFlow 480 while the HX929 has the MotionFlow 980 AND 1M:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio. I`m not too sure about the HX820 for only $1,130.00. I don`t even know if the HX820 has the same Features, Options, ect as the HX850 and HX929. I don`t want to spend too much and the 46HX820 Brand New Sealed for $1,130.00 seems like a good deal. However at the same time I want a Great HDTV. I don`t mind spending an extra $500.00-$1,000.00 if there`s a big difference between basically the 2 Models KDL46HX820 and XBR46HX929. I would greatly appreciate your input on this to help me make a decision. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your reply.

I have the KDL46HX810 model but like you I really want the XBR929 so I am watching. Sony has not announced a new XBR model for 2012. The are offering the KDL46HX850 which on paper is the same as the KDL46HX820, Just a new model year. KDL46HX820 for $1,000 less than the xbr, I don't think it is worth the extra. KDL46HX810 model & KDL46HX820 (+ KDL46HX850 2012 model) are both beautiful TV's. Stunning even. You can't go wrong. Not on a budget; the XBR is Sony's top of the line.
