1. Power button: Simply press the power button on the top of the unit once. This will turn off the unit completely, and the display will be blank.
2. Battery compartment: If the unit is running on batteries, you can remove the batteries from the compartment located on the back of the unit. This will also turn off the unit completely.
3. Unplug the AC power cord: If the unit is plugged into an AC power outlet, you can simply unplug the power cord. This will also turn off the unit completely.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
If the "STANDBY" message is displayed on the LCD screen, but the unit is not playing anything, it means that the unit is in a low-power standby mode. You can simply press the play button or any other button to wake the unit up.
If the unit is plugged into an AC power outlet and you want to conserve battery life, you can use the "ECO+" mode. This mode automatically reduces the power consumption of the unit when it is not in use. To activate ECO+ mode, press and hold the DISPLAY/ENTER button for 3 seconds.
