No Sound From Subs During Cd Operation

have sony cdx m8810 stereo, have a mono amp and two twelve inch subs. using the tunner (radio) the subs operate just fine but when playing cd,s no sound from subs. checked all manuel adjutments, there is still power to amp just no sound
