Hello,

You can check to see if your microphone on skype is on "Mute" or not. Make sure that your Mute button is off to enable the other person to hear you.

Either that, or tell the other person to check his/her volume settings and you can also check your skype volume settings too.

If you still have problems, then I suggest you to try check out the "Help" page on skype for further advice on how to fix your problem.
