Help! My Machine Seems Jammed But There Is Not Thread Anywhere. What Do I Do?

it runs when I'm on the bobbin setting but when I switch it back is jams again and there's this loud cluck

There may be a jam further in there like maybe thread has gotten caught. You can try taking the machine apart (if it's possible) and see if there is thread caught in it.
