Tax Programing

my register will not take tax programing, it was working perfectly until yesterday. When I turned it on it started beeping and displayed other strange actions. I reinitialized it and it will not take tax programing and now I get an errow beep whie i hit the key to enter the tax rate. It takes date and time correctly.
