Sharp Model Lc15sh6u Tv 15 In Flat Screen Volume At Full Blast.

Menu info started flashing on and off screen 2 days ago.  Then volume control on TV and remote both stopped working and volume is at full blast all the time.  I turned off tv for a while.  Then unplugged from cable with no results. Also replaced batteries in remote.
