Printer Jam
The printer receives the information from the computer, grabs the paper from the tray, prints on the paper, and then gets stuck in the upper feed (gray part) before it completely prints out. How can I fix this?

Hello, there are many things that can cause paper jams. Some things to try to attempt to narrow down the problem:
- Does it only jam from one paper tray? Try printing from other trays and see if those jobs jam too.
- Does it only jam on a specific paper size or orientation? Try flipping the paper, or loading a different size, to see if it still jams.
Some things to try to prevent jamming:
- Fan the paper out before putting it in the tray. Take the paper already in the tray, fan it out, then flip it over upside down and try to print.
- Make sure the paper tray is showing the correct size paper.
- If you are using thick paper, coated paper, or another type of non-standard paper, make sure you have the paper type set correctly. An incorrect paper type will often cause jamming.
- If the lead edge of the paper is wrinkled or torn when it gets jammed, something in the paper path is stopping the paper. Look for scraps of paper, a piece knocked out of place, or another obstruction.
