On My Sharp 42inch Lc42sb45ut The Menu Jumps Back & Forth Can't Press It

If it's not the remote with a stuck button, it could be the [input] button on the TV key board. Two other possibilities; the switches on the keyboard could be damaged if the plastic button isn't jammed (part number: 9JR9900000004) or those new low energy light bulbs do sometimes mess with remote sensors and cause weird symptoms
