How To Get Sharp Sound Bar Htsl70 Volume To Work

Perhaps you are using the supplied leads, which do not work with the system I got on Monday, and my TV, a 42 inch Sony flat panel..
Before buying I did a teeny bit of research, and noted that others had resolved the problem, by buying a lead with 3.5mm jacks at either end, and connecting one end into the headphone socket on the TV (check the size is that on your TV). This for a a HT-SB250 sound bar, to go with a Sony TV
Sure enough, the supplied leads did not work, so I had to scout around (hours) for the leads. PC World/Currys will charge you £12-14, but others, under £1, plus postage, 89 p for a 1.2m length.
Got that 24 hours later, plugged in and bingo!
BTW, as supplied the system is unfit for purpose, per Sale of Goods Act, like supplying a car without tyres. Extras should not be required to make it work.
Mind you, another problem arose, and I may have resolved that one as well, sound dropping out.
