Can I Still Use This Baracuda 7200-7,if Not Would It Be Of Any Interest To Anyon

I have a aging Baracuda 7200-7 which when plugged into my notebook is making a crackly noise and I as wondering if anyone might be interested in the 80 GB hard drive.It is of no use to me.t has pentium Windows on it and was mounted on an ASUS MOTHERBOARD.I was going to try and use it but if it could be refurbished then it csn go but it is making a sound,but Iam using a ssd hard drive to check for errors(none as yet) I am not much good with computers but I am going to attemt to build my own but I will be using solid state/what I am getting at if anyone wants it all they have to do is pick it up or send me a parcel and I will send it to them ?The driver s Date Code is  : 05435
