How Do I Configure Goflex Home With Google Drive?

I have a macbook running mac os x 10.6.8. When I try to configure my google drive with my seagate goflex home, I get the following error message: "The folder /Volumes/rahulvarshney/GoFlex Home Personal/Google Drive can't be used. Please select another folder."Basically I want my goflex home to operate just like an external hard drive would, albeit while connected through the router. Is this possible?
