Sanyo Rice Cooker Ecj-hc55s Can't Set Timer Or Anything Else.

When plugged in, the timer only flashes and nothing more can be done. I looked for a replacement battery inside but could not find one. The battery appears to be rechargeable so I'm now recharging the machine for 24 hours to see if that fixes the problem. Holding down the HR and MIN button does nothing and the screen just continues to flash. Holding the other buttons doesn't help either. Is there a combo of buttons to be held down to re-set the system?

There is a 3v lithium rechargeable battery inside. Life span of 4 to 5 years. Take a look at the parts list for a similar model here:

There is a circuit diagram included and it would appear that the battery is probably on the PCB which is the actual display panel. If you are competent it may enable you to make a repair.

Dont worry, you just unplug it for while. After 1 hour, your remove the battery and techarge it then it will work. May be voltage problem. Some home appliances required high voltage to run. Better check some other appliances in your home. Definitely the voltage should be the problem. I thing the machine is good.
