Can't Get It To Recognize My Vcr, Dvd Player

Make sure your cables are good. 75% of the time bad cables are at fault for these issues. Occationally the conenctors on the DVD or the TV may have bad connections to the circuit board. Also occationally the video swicth inside the TV could be bad. You didn't leave a lot of information to go on, if you are using HDMI, try another port. Make sure the HDMI cable is good, and not too long. The longer the cable the more loss. Ten feet is about the limit I would ever use. If you are assuming the TV will auto switch (mine does) try selecting the various inputs via your remote or the menu button on the set. If there still is nothing, borrow another DVD player from a friend to see if that works, also try your's on their TV. Odds are that will point you at the issue.
