A Friend Let Us Borrow His Sanyo Tv And We Have A Picture But No Sounds At All,

Ok, first of all lets troubleshoot.
Have you got a pair of headphones? If so plug it into the tv's headphone outlet, can you hear any sound when some show is on. Make sure you keep the tv's volume to low otherwise you might hurt your ears. If so then your in luck! If not your tv's amplifier chip is toast.
Also make sure that you didn't accidently turned off the internal speakers on the sound menu or at the back of the tv. If you can hear throgh your headphones and if you did not turn off the speakers, then your tv speakers are faulty. Its a very simple repair should not cost much for a pair of speaker.
Did you know that there's another way to get tv's sound without using the tv speakers. I know that you must have a stereo at your place with audio line input L and R RCA audio jacks.
Your tv shoud have L and R RCA audio out. Get a RCA stere cable and connect your tv and the stereo and now you can hear your tv thorugh your stereo. For better sound performance through your stereo make sure that you turn off the tv speakers and put the tv volume half way and if you want more volume use the volume of the stere to make it loud.
Now you can really enjoy your music videos. So try this. By the way, do you also not get sound with your DVD player? The other thing I have to tell you is that if you have a cable settop box it could be that settop box is not sending any audio to your tv. If at least one source like the DVD player gives you sound then you know that you cannot blame the tv for not giving the sound but the source that is not sending any audio to your tv.
