The SIM card is extremely compact. It's typically the size of a fingernail and can be found near the battery or in an ejectable slot on the side. Look for documentation for your device if you don't know where the SIM card is stored on it.

If your SIM card is defective, you might wish to try a different one. Your wireless carrier should be able to provide you with a replacement SIM card at no cost.

Note that not all gadgets require a SIM card, but the majority do these days.
