Ricoh Aficio Sg 3100snw Gel Printer
in the dialogue box on the printer it indicate cian ink was low. I replaced the ink cartridge.The indicator says that all 4 cartridges are full but there is a 5th icon in the box that indicatesthat it needs to be filled. what is this please?when I print, every 7 or 8 lines of print only half the line is visible

Without knowing exactly what it says, it's hard to say for sure, but that 5th box could be the waste ink container, which periodically needs to be emptied/replaced.
