Heat Not Working

how do I tell if heatstrips are working?

If you have a heat pump it is sometimes difficult to tell if the heat is working or not. Your system switch will toggle from cool-auto-heat-EM heat & off. Setting to EM heat turns on the heating elements & will give you noticably warmer air but will run the power bill up quickly.
