My name is Sylvie. I work for Reader’s Digest in Customer Care and I just came across your post.
We checked our records and found that we received a request for the first volume in the series on March 31, 2011. That first volume, which was free, was shipped on April 10, 2011.
As described in our initial offer terms and as we remind you with your introductory free volume, if you want to continue receiving more volumes, you need do nothing. On the other hand, if you wish to stop this service all you need to do is let us know.
Since we did not hear from you, we shipped the second volume along with a bill on May 23, 2011.
I am sorry that this service is not for you at this time and confirm that your name has been removed from our mailing list for the series. We will also be sending a prepaid mailing label for you to return the second volume at our expense.
I apologise for any confusion and hope the above is to your entire satisfaction.
