Is There Any Way To Charge My Tablet Using The Usb Port Instead Of My Broken Por

I bought the rca black friday special back in 2013. The charging port stopped working which charged from a 2.5mm cable. Is there a way to get the usb port to get the tablet into charge mode? Regular usb chargers wont charge it...ive tried. Any suggestions?? (other than go buy a new tablet!!! Lol)

Without the model I can't be specific but most devices that have a power port have the usb port as data only & will not charge, sorry.
