Reverse Camera Problems

Ive just purchased the pldnv78i and have been trying to get the pyle camera working. Ive tested that Ive got 12v off the reverse light at the camera and also have run the rca to the deck. The led on the lights arent lighting up. I cant find a option on the deck for the reverse camera? The maual I got with the deck has a different operting system. Any suggestions? Bad camera possibly?

You must wire the trigger wire to the head, the wire should be labled reverse. This is a +12v hi the head must see in order to switch on the backup cam. The trigger wire is part of my RCA cable running to the back of the truck. The trigger should be connected to the (+) reverse lamp side. When you put the car in reverse the head will see the +12v and turn on the backup cam. You still need the power for the cam also.

UPDATE

The wire is coffee colored and labeled (BACK) on the PLDNV78i. When the 12+ from the reverse lamp is applied to this line the display will be forced to turn on the backup cam.

My RCA cam cable has the built in trigger wire, I've been told by PYLE tech this needs to be connected to the head wire marked reverse.

Here is an interesting Idea I had, Wire the trigger to the reverse lamp +12v and to the head. For the came power find a +12v source that is on when the car is on. Purchase a Y RCS cable from radio shack. plug the cam RCA cable into the Y. Take one end of the Y and connect it to camera in the other Y to Auxiliary RCS vid input.

Now you cam will work when you put the car in reverse or you can select the AUX input any time to turn on the cam. I want my when hooking up my boat trailer, don't want the cam shutting on/off when gonging reverse/forward to hook up the boat.
