Camera Asks To Either Format Or Cancel
Just as the title says, I bought this camera back in June and have used it for a month pretty regularly. I haven't used it in about 3 weeks and when I turned it on the other day I could only format (which would delete all pics on camera) or cancel causing the camera to shut off. Any thoughts? Is this a defective unit?

I bought a camera in June 2013 and have exactly the same problem. In the store they gave me another camera (but I kept the memory cards), but I still have the same problem They say it could be a problem of incompability between the camera and the memory cards used (Transcend), but they also said they have sold a lot of those cameras with those memory cards without complaints. I don't think it is logical that I have to get another brand of memory card to make the camera work. In the store they want to give me new memory cards, but I don't want the camera anymore as it isn't reliable. I haven't been able to take photos during my vacations and it really annoys me!
