2002 Bose Radio Code

How do I retrieve the Bose radio code? I am buying an aftermarket replacement since I jammed in a CD and CD player no longer works. 'Can't get any CD out just grinds away. I think that I pushed in #7 in a 6 CD player. Is it in the glove compartment, book or how do I get it. Delco # 800-537-5140 does NOT work

If you have lost or forgotten the radio code for your 2002 Bose radio, you will need to contact Bose customer service to retrieve it. They will likely ask for some information about your vehicle and radio, such as the radio's serial number, which can typically be found on a sticker on the radio itself or in the owner's manual.

You can try calling Bose customer service at 1-800-379-2073 to see if they can help you retrieve the code. Alternatively, you may be able to find the code in your vehicle's owner's manual or maintenance records.

If you have already purchased an aftermarket replacement radio, you may not need the code as it should come with its own unique code or may not require a code at all. However, it's always a good idea to double-check with the manufacturer or seller to be sure.

If you are replacing the factory Bose radio with an aftermarket replacement, you will not need the original radio code. The radio code is specific to the factory radio and is used as an anti-theft feature.

However, if you are trying to retrieve the radio code for the original Bose radio and do not have access to the owner's manual or maintenance booklet, you will need to contact a dealership that sells or services Bose radios. They will be able to provide you with the code using the serial number of the radio.

If you're experiencing issues with the CD player in the factory radio, it's recommended to have it serviced or repaired by a certified technician. They will be able to diagnose and repair the issue, and possibly retrieve any stuck CDs.

To retrieve the radio code for your 2002 Bose radio, you will need to contact a Bose dealership or service center. They will require the serial number of the radio, which can be found on a sticker on the top or bottom of the radio unit. Alternatively, you may be able to find the serial number by pressing and holding the preset buttons 1 and 6 or 2 and 6 for a few seconds, and the serial number will be displayed on the screen.

Once you have the serial number, contact Bose customer service and provide them with the serial number. They will then be able to retrieve the radio code for you. You can also check the owner's manual or any documentation that came with the vehicle to see if the code is listed there.

If you have already purchased an aftermarket replacement radio, it may not require a code. However, if it does, the process for retrieving the code may vary depending on the manufacturer. Consult the owner's manual or contact the manufacturer's customer service for assistance.
