It seems like you're experiencing some issues with your brakes on your 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada. Brake problems can be concerning, so let's go through some troubleshooting steps to help address the issue.

1. Check brake fluid level: Start by checking the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir under the hood. If it's low, it may result in a squishy brake pedal and cause noise. If the fluid is low, top it up with the recommended brake fluid type.

2. Inspect brake pads: A rubbing sound could indicate that your brake pads are worn down or not releasing properly. Inspect the brake pads for any signs of uneven wear, damage, or if they are worn beyond the recommended thickness. If they are worn out, they will need to be replaced.

3. Caliper inspection: The brake calipers are responsible for applying pressure to the brake pads. Check the calipers for any signs of damage or sticking. If a caliper is not releasing properly, it can cause the brake pads to constantly rub against the rotor, resulting in noise and reduced braking performance. A sticking caliper may need to be replaced or repaired.

4. Brake rotor condition: Inspect the brake rotors for any signs of damage, scoring, or uneven wear. If the brake pads have been rubbing against the rotors, it can cause them to wear unevenly. Resurfacing or replacing the rotors may be necessary if they are damaged.

5. Brake system bleeding: If the brake pedal feels squishy or soft, it may indicate air in the brake lines. Bleeding the brake system can help remove any air bubbles and restore proper brake pedal feel. This procedure is best performed by a trained mechanic.

If you're unsure about performing these checks yourself, it would be best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic or brake specialist. They can accurately assess the situation, diagnose the issue, and recommend the appropriate repairs.
