How Can I Clean An Oxygen Flow Sensor Located In The Intake Manifold?
I have a 1999 Oldsmobile LSS with a check engine light that came on at an odometer reading of 74,100 miles. I've been told that the cheapest fix would be cleaning a dirty oxygen sensor. Can I do this myself?

I think what you're referring to is the Mass Air Indicator. If you go to your local parts store you can probably purchase an aerosol can of cleaner for that part. The part that likely needs cleaning is a little filament or filaments that are attached to an electronic sending device, at least that's the way it is in a 1990 Olds Regency. Ask the guys or gals at the store to help you locate that part on your car. I suggest you take the part off before applying the cleaner. Follow the directions on the cleaner as best you can.
