How To Set Lock On Router To Prevent Outside Users?

First you will need to get a copy of the user manual. If you need a copy you can get one here: http://www.helpowl.com/manuals/Netgear/WNR834B/2446

You will need to set up an administrator user password and then set up a wireless password.

Both of these are set via the management web screen at http://192.168.1.1 by default. The default user is "Admin" with no password.

In the setup pages you must configure WEP or WPA2 and assign a pass-phrase to restrict other users. The options are too varied for me to explain here so I recommend you setup through the manual to configure things properly.
