Wn2000rptv2 Won't Connect With Bt Business Router (wired).

I purchased the above today to extend wifi coverage in the premises where I work. The Netgear wifi extender will not connect with the router in fact nothing comes up at all ie no onscreen guide comes up at all although it came up straight away on my iphone. We run Windows 7 & would very mush appreciate some help in lieu of returning the device to the shop (Maplins).Thanks Craig
