Lamp Error

I'm replacing the lamp in a LT20 projector. Both new lamps and the old one are all getting a lamp red light indicator after the fan cycles on and off several times. Any thoughts on what might be inhibiting operation?

According to a quick search, you may have run out of hours on the lamp. Now that doesn't necessarily mean the lamp is dead, it could mean you just got to the number of hours the lamp is rated for.

From what I found, you may be able to reset the lamp timer, with one of the following methods. You may still want to replace the lamp, or at least get a backup one.

Press and hold the help button on the remote for 10 seconds.

or

Press and hold the exit button on the remote for 10 seconds.

or

Press and hold Power and Exit on the remote for 10 seconds.
