What Does The Capital 'g' Mean At The Top Of My Display?

I recently got a replacement WX345 after my old one was destroyed. There is a capital "G" in the upper left-hand corner of my display, something I don't remember seeing with my old phone. What does this mean?  Also, is there a more detailed manual than that small black book?  It seems there are tons of functions that I find out "accidentally" when it would be great to know everything my phone can do.  Thanks!

The G indicates that it is in GPRS mode; essentially, it is letting you know it is on 2G/3G networking. Not sure what the manual which came with the phone is like, but you might find this useful:  http://www.consumercellular.com/Content/PDFs/Manuals/Motorola_WX345_QSG.pdf
