Speakerphone On/off Toggle

the only connectivity i have is bluetooth and the earpiece. there is only Menu and Browser in the display on the screen. when a call connects--only End appears in the lower right of the screen. there is no spkr icon on the screen. am i doing some thing wrong--or is this a software issue. should i reset factory defaults?
