La590 Top Load Washer Does Not Spin

LA590 top load washer does not spin - I only hear hum. Pump does not seem to be clogged. LID switch seems to work as water flow is controlled with it. Belts seems to be OK. Any idea how to troubleshoot?

If the drain pump is not clogged, the pump motor may have burned out. One way to check is to place the drain hose below the level of the pump and run it that way. That sometimes works because it makes it easier for the pump to pump out the water. If nothing happens and you're sure it's not clogged, then it must be a burned out pump motor.
