Drills Won't Work

I bought 4 used Makita drills at a garage sale from a builder. Model 6095D Seller explained that the batteries would need to be replaced. I bought two new 9.6V batteries. They test out as charged---showing about 10 volts. When I put them in all 4 drills, none of them work. One or even two might be just broken equipment, but all 4?

Please check the following

The drill will not function if the battery is dead or not properly connected.

The motor drill brushes may be likely worn out

Make sure the safety lock is not engaged

Trigger assembly may be bad

Forward/Reverse Change may be Worn Out
