I Have A Vtech Phone Model Number Cs6229-4 And I Use Magic Jack. Outgoing Calls

outgoing calls do not go through. I can receive incoming calls. When dialing an outgoing number I do get the dial tone but when I dial the number it just back to dial tone and does not place the outgoing call. The manuel for Vtech indicated this was a phone service problem. Can you help me?

Your magicJack may not work properly, or at all

if you're not logged on to your Windows user account,
if it's not running,
if it's not secured in the USB port,
if the phone cord is not secured or is broken,
if you're not connected to the Internet,
if without a powered USB hub several phones are used to generate power from a USB port,
or if your magicJack device is defective.

If the device is not defective, simple actions may resolve the problem, as outlined here. Or you may try these instructions. If the device is defective, you need to return it. If you bought it from magicJack, follow the instructions at http://my.magicjack.com/returns.html.

If it's too late to return the device, you can seek a resolution with your credit card company or with the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221.
