Your magicJack may not work properly, or at all

• if you're not logged on to your Windows user account,
• if it's not running,
• if it's not secured in the USB port,
• if the phone cord is not secured or is broken,
• if you're not connected to the Internet,
• if without a powered USB hub several phones are used to generate power from a USB port,  
• or if your magicJack device is defective.

If the device is not defective, these simple actions may resolve the problem. Or you may try these instructions. If the device is defective, you need to return it. If you bought it from magicJack, follow the instructions at http://my.magicjack.com/returns.html.

If it's too late to return the device, you can seek a resolution with your credit card company or with the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221 or 2005 Apalachee Pkwy., Tallahassee, FL 32399.

Go to your "Device Manager," then go to  "USB Internet Phone by TigerJet" right click and choose "Sound Settings," double click on the "Handset" icon; Click the "Levels" tab (2nd one) and make sure the sound icon is not exed out with a red circle, if it is, click on the sound icon and the red circle should disappear. You should then be able to hear calls.
