Should The Blue Light Be Steady With The Ac Adapter, It Flickers. Will Not Work.

My MJ which I just bougt will only work when in the USB port of the computer. The blue light is steady. In the router with the ac adapter it flashes and the router does not recognise the device. I spent 3 1/2 hours with customer support but to no avail. I wonder if the ac adapter is bad. I will have to return the device.

If you spent even half an hour with customer service to no avail, I recommend returning the product, which is likely defective. (Most folks don't have patience even to get through to this company's customer service.) If magicJack itself couldn't diagnose the problem I would not expect a user forum like this to do any better. My only suggestion is to try these instructions.

Yes the blue light should be steady when plugged into the AC to USB adapter. My adapter went bad and the blue light was flickering. MJ+ would not work. Replaced the AC to USB adapter and now all is well.
