I use mine with 4 phones - and could use it with more.  The way I do this is to use a splitter at the magic jack phone jack that connects to the computer.  Then I have a couple 2 phone cordless sets I plug in there - the kind that you have a base plugged into the phone line and a remote base that just needs power.  That way I can have one in my office, one in the kitchen and two upstairs. 

You could, in effect, use it with more - if you just 'run wire' to another phone - from one of the 2 lines that come off the splitter, and then at the end of that line add another splitter, so you get another line.  (Also - there are phone sets out there that have 4 phones to one plug in base - so you could do that as well and have 8 phones - in essence - using two of the 4 line bases in the original splitter from the magic jack.)
