192.168.1.1 Wants My Name And Password. How Do I Find This Out?

I'm trying to lock my linksys wi-fi with a password, but when I go to the access ip address (192.168.1.1) it asks me for my name and passord. I don't know this, so how do I find it out to move forward?

It depends on the model of your gateway.

The default is usually something like admin/admin or admin/password or just admin in the password spot with nothing in the name spot
