How Do I Link The Wi-fi Between My Lexmark Pro205 And Pc Without A Router?

I used to be able to print wirelessly with my laptop and had to change it in the process forgot the password to the Wi-Fi. With the new laptop I cant sem to be able to link the wi-fi's. I have even asked a IT technician at work & he couldnt get it right. I now have to use the USB cable to get to print which is not always ideal
