why can I hear the television but can't see the picture the radio still works also

I had a similar issue with my TV. It started as white lines...then the picture got worse until it finally stopped altogether. I figure I had nothing to lose, so I disassembled the TV. I noticed thrree blown capacitors (they were bulging at the top). Once I replaced the capacitors & reassembled the TV...it worked perfectly. If you are not into doing circuit board soldering, you should be able to find someone to help.
