Dvd Drive Gt30l Firmware Update.

I have a LG GT30L dvd drive in a hp compaq laptop. This drive can't read any burned dvd disc by nero or other burning software. I want a suggestion and the firmware update. thanks

Unfortunately it sounds like the laser lens may be dying. A firmware update will not fix the issue. You may need to replace the drive entirely.

The only other possibility is that you're burning the discs incorrectly. If this is the case then the discs shouldn't work in any other drives.
