Waste Toner

How do you empty the waster toner on a kyocera?

You cannot empty the waste toner on this model, it is inside the drum unit. when you receive the waste toner full message , you have to replace the drum unit.

After you pull out the drum unit on the FS-1028 turn it around & you will see a reflective type of tape in the middle on either end of the tape you will see little caps with arrows. Take a small flat blade screw driver & remove the larger cap then turn the drum unit up & angled to dump out the waste toner...tap on the top to make sure it empties as much as possible. Reinsert cap, install in machine & then install dv/toner unit & power up machine...if it does not reset then shut off & power back on. Job complete!
