Kitchenaid Electric Cooktop

my kitchenaid electric cooktop has 4 burners. One is a triple burner. It can only turn on and off for all three elements but have no temperature control (it stays on hi). Wonder if i need to replace the switch or there may be other problems. Also I have a large scratch on another burner about the size of a penny. Is there any way that I can repair it? Thanks
