Cannot Get Back To My Home Screen

Help me please! I downloaded a book on my kindle. I payed for it and everything and I was in the kindle bookstore and now it won't let me go back to the home book screen. I keep clicking the home button and it doesn't work. I am stuck in the kindle book store and I am highly upset! I want to read my book I purchased! How do I fix it?!
